If you’re a whiskey fan, you’ve got to take a trip to Lynchburg, Tennessee to visit the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Touring the distillery has always been on my husband’s bucket list, so on our way up to Nashville we had to stop by. The tour was super informative, and the whiskey tasting at the end was lots of fun!

One of our favorite spring activities is strawberry picking at Washington Farms, a local strawberry farm. The kids love running up and down the rows, filling up their buckets and sneaking a few of the fresh-off-the-vine-strawberries. After a few minutes, their clothes and fingers are stained with strawberry juice. And of course, I love cooking and baking with the berries. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pie, strawberry salad, strawberries with cream, strawberry jam bars – the yummy possibilities are endless!

We’re all pretty beat – we spent the morning at Washington Farms picking strawberries, playing, eating ice cream, and getting a tiny bit sunburned. So it’s the perfect night for a movie – we can relax and put our feet up!

We explored, listened to music, shopped, and ate and drank until our bellies were full and our heads were tipsy. Nashville has so many amazing restaurants and bars, and we were pretty bummed we didn’t get to try out more. But there are only so many meals in a day! We’ll just have to go back soon.
