Lots of driving, church, food to organize, an egg hunt to prep, a couple of Easter baskets to fill, all on less than 5 hours of sleep. (Where’s that Easter bunny when I need him? I could’ve used a little help!)
Add all of that, on top of all our normal activities and chores, and needless to say – I was one stressed out mama.
So although adorable, these pictures won’t tell the true story of our Easter Sunday.
Since I started blogging again, I’ve been looking at everything through a photographer’s eye. What would make an awesome picture for my blog and for Instagram? When we planned our little kid-free getaway to Nashville, I knew I had to scope out some great spots to take pictures. Nashville has plenty! All of the creativity in that town is amazing. We ended up finding so many, that I thought I’d make an entire post about it. So when I saw this paint-filled egg toss Easter activity on Pinterest, I knew it would be a hit with my kiddos!
We explored, listened to music, shopped, and ate and drank until our bellies were full and our heads were tipsy. Nashville has so many amazing restaurants and bars, and we were pretty bummed we didn’t get to try out more. But there are only so many meals in a day! We’ll just have to go back soon. But I sure do love when the weather starts to get warm and the days start to get longer. We had a pretty mild winter this year, thankfully. I can’t handle cold weather with two kids. Being cooped up in the house day after day? Or putting on 15 layers of clothes to go outside for 5 minutes before the kiddos start whining to go back in? No thanks! I have no idea how moms up north do it. We need to be outside!
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we were up in Athens for a birthday party and I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of the kids in their new spring clothes.
