Easy DIY Girls Weekend Gift

September 27, 2017

A few weekends ago I took off for a girls weekend with a few of my mom-friends. There’s nothing like a weekend away from your family where you can spend all your time…complaining about your family, right? Ha! Seriously though, when we weren’t talking about our kids or our husbands, we were sipping on wine and cocktails, playing board games and card games, snacking on junk food, and laughing the hours away! It was the best. A much-needed break for all of us tired, worn out mamas.

Before the trip, I decided to make a quick DIY gift for all my friends to enjoy while we were together. I knew I wanted to incorporate candy because…yum! And I also wanted the gift to make each mama laugh. I figured a wine glass was perfect for our weekend away since we’d probably be sipping the days away.

I purchased a few stemless wine glasses. (Here are some plastic ones at a great price! Or these glass ones come out to a little over a dollar a glass.) Josh actually helped me with the writing, because if you’ve known me for a while, you know I have terrible handwriting. We used a sharpie, which did end up coming off after a few washes, but you could use a paint pen or another type of marker that is made specifically for writing on glass if you want to get fancy.

I also printed out these hilarious Some Ecards and stuffed one in each glass. There are a million different ones out there on the internet, so even if your friends aren’t moms yet, I’m sure you can find a funny relevant one to use.
