About two months ago, I made a decision that would forever change my life for the better…
I got a maid service.
I know what you’re thinking…
“Wow – she must be rich.” (No, we’re not.)
“Doesn’t she only work part-time? She only has one kid. She has plenty of time to clean!” (I know, I know!)
Y’all.
It is SO worth it.
They come every other week. I still pick up millions of toys, do countless loads of laundry, load-unload-load-unload-load-unload the dishwasher, vacuum tumbleweeds of dog hair daily and sweep up puffs and Cheerios that are scattered all over the floor.
But to know that I don’t have to do the deep cleaning that my house needs is so…freeing!! I was really starting to feel dragged down by all the cleaning. And a dirty house bothers me so much more now that I’m home…in it all day.
And on the days when the maids come to clean – when I get home from running errands and my house looks like something out of a magazine…ahhhhhh. Such an amazing feeling.
I know it’s an extra expense and I’m blessed that we are able to afford it.
But I’m so happy I did it!
We had some professional photos taken back in May that I forgot to post. I love how they turned out!

Oh my goodness – can this pic be any more adorable?!?! |
You also love swinging in your swing. Sometimes it’s too much fun and it wears you out. 🙂

I swear we normally put clothes on you when we take you outside! The baby pool pic and the swing pic were from the same day. |
You saw your first Laser Show. I was afraid the fireworks and loud music would scare you, but you loved it! You were mesmerized the entire time.

Graham is 8 months!
By sunshineandholly on June 10, 2013Baby Graham,
Here we are at 8 months! You are an absolute doll. You get cuter and cuter every day!
We’ve had a bit of a set back in the sleeping department, but in all you are still a very easy baby. I think our sleeping issues have to do with teething and separation anxiety. You’ve been working on your top two teeth this month and they really must be bothering you. Poor guy. I didn’t even know you were teething with your first two teeth, but the top ones must hurt more. You’ve been waking up 2-6 times a night crying. Luckily, all we have to do is go in your room and stick the pacifier in your mouth and you go back to sleep right away. Bedtime and naps are a different story. You WILL NOT NAP nowadays. I have to lay down with you in the bed and 30 minutes later you’ll FINALLY fall asleep. Usually I end up taking a nap too since I’m laying there so long. Daddy rocks you to sleep at night and it takes just as long. We miss the days when we just laid you down, kissed you goodnight and you put yourself to sleep. But I do love all the snuggling so I won’t complain too much.
