Tonight, we’re having PJ Family Movie Night at home and watching the original animated Beauty and the Beast. It’s a classic!
We’re all pretty beat – we spent the morning at Washington Farms picking strawberries, playing, eating ice cream, and getting a tiny bit sunburned. So it’s the perfect night for a movie – we can relax and put our feet up!
To go with our movie, we made a quick themed snack. I saw these adorable Puff Pastry Apple Roses on Facebook a few days ago and they looked so cute and easy – I knew I wanted to try making them!
The kids loved sprinkling the sugar and cinnamon, and Graham was a master at rolling up the dough. We skipped the apricot preserves – only because we didn’t have any at the house, and I was too pooped to make a trip to the grocery store.
The roses turned out beautiful! Wouldn’t this be a great dessert to serve at a dinner party? You could have them all prepped and ready to go into the oven before your guests arrived.
The verdict? They were delicious! Two thumbs up!
Have you seen the new live action Beauty and the Beast? It’s amazing. We took the kids a few weeks ago, but I’m dying to go see it again. I liked it so much!
Looks delicious!
This looks like the perfect weekend afternoon: baking pastries and disney movies. Your kids are lucky.
I love beauty and the beast! Have yet to watch the live action though 😭. I love the little apple roses you made. So fitting to the movie. You’re amazing. That’s such a cute baking feat.
They were actually really easy to make! I promise – if I can do it, anyone can. 🙂
Those look scrumptious AND beautiful! What a fun night!!!
Fun and yummy treats!
