We had a great weekend in North Georgia! My parents have a timeshare in Helen and we usually stay there a few days each year. Helen is a small German-themed town with lots of character. I’ve been visiting almost every year since I was little. There isn’t a ton to do, but we enjoy spending time together and hitting up a few of our favorite spots!
Weekend Recap – Helen Georgia
We always stop at Jaemor Farms on the way up to the timeshare.
We headed straight to dinner at the Troll Tavern once we arrived in Helen. They have tasty German food and the view is lovely because it’s right on the river.
On Saturday, we got up early to play on the playground and explore the river.
We love recreating this picture each year!
When we started getting hungry, we headed into town to have lunch and explore.
We always make a stop at Betty’s Country Store.
Look at this beautiful soap I found at the Pickled Peach gift shop!
The kids wanted to stop at Hansel and Gretal’s Candy Kitchen. (Of course!)
We decided to have lunch at Cafe International.
After lunch, the kids played for a while in the indoor pool. Then we headed over to Babyland General – home of the Cabbage Patch Kids!
We love playing mini-golf, and Helen has 3 different courses to choose from. This year we played at Pirate’s Cove!
Poor Maddie wasn’t feeling well that morning and ended up getting sick right outside the mini-golf place. Luckily it passed quickly, and she felt fine by that afternoon!
We had to head back Sunday afternoon, but not before one more stop and the candy kitchen! Josh and I split a peach flavored coke and it was actually super tasty.
