Disney Recap - Hollywood Studios and Epcot | sunshineandholly.com

Ready for a million pictures from Disney? I actually LOVE reading about other people’s Disney trips (looking at you Journey of Parenthood!) so I’m going to share all of my favorite pictures from our recent trip. Up first – our day at Hollywood Studios and our first day at Epcot!

Disney Recap – Hollywood Studios and Epcot

The kids were festive and ready to go!

We loved our Magic Band skins from Magic Your Band! We got them for free for booking our vacation through DVCreqests.com. It was a great experience booking through them and we’ll totally use them again in the future!

Daisy LOVED Maddie’s magic band skin!

Peeking in at Olaf!

He loves warm hugs!

Don’t let this picture fool you. Toy Story Land had about 6.5 million people in it that day!

A typical lunch at Disney for us. We always bring food for at least a couple of meals each day.

The best part about bringing food to save money is that then you don’t have to feel bad when you want to splurge on dessert! This is a Chocolate Chestnut Pinecone. It’s chocolate mousse on a praline “leaf” and chocolate cake. #yum!

I also tried this – I think it was a spiked eggnog frappucino, but I can’t remember exactly what it was called.

My wild child!

The queue line for Toy Story Mania was so neat!

I actually wasn’t super excited to ride Toy Story Mania because I thought it would be similar to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. But it was WAY more fun! I feel like you can definitely aim better with TSM.

#spoildkids with the expensive toys their Dada bought them. (You know Mama wouldn’t have spent that money!)

I’m such a huge macaron fan and these were so tasty!

Maddie was so over the pictures by the end of the day.

Sleepy girl! Back to the hotel for a nap! We ended up going back to Hollywood Studios later that night for the fireworks, but it was so crowded and miserable that I didn’t take any pictures. But you know what they say – “A bad day a Disney is still better than a normal day at home!” Also – FYI – if your kid tells you they have to go potty at the bus stop at Hollywood Studios after the fireworks, there are NO bathrooms right now except those back inside the park. (Maybe because of all the construction?) Anyway, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try to fight that crowd to go back inside the park for the bathroom. (We tried and failed.) Just let your kid pee in the bushes. #sorrynotsorry

Day 2! Ready for Epcot!

Gotta remember sunglasses for Graham for our next trip.

Mickey loved the kids’ shirts!

“It’s me!”

Epcot food is sooooo good! This is “Pastelón” – sofrito-marinated beef with sweet plantains and olives. Yum!

Josh tried the queso fresco-stuffed arepa topped with shrimp, crushed avocado aji and tomato sauce.

We missed Mickey’s birthday by a few days but they still had some stickers!

Poutine from Canada with beef and fried onions. Yaaasss!

Some sort of fruity frozen drink from France. I ordered it because it matched my shirt and the flowers!

Maddie wanted ice cream. The rest of us wanted a crepe. So we did both!

The kids love the KidCot Fun Stops!

Gingerbread US State Capitol Building!

The drinks in Italy are my fav!

This is when Maddie decided she wanted to do a photo shoot. “Take my picture here, Mama!”

“Take my picture with this guy, Mama!”

“Take a picture of me doing this, Mama!”

Mongolian beef bao bun and a fortune cookie!

Josh and I were stuffed, but we got the kids one more thing to eat before heading out for the evening. Chips with guac and cheese!

We were still exhausted from the mess the night before at Hollywood Studios, so we called it a night and headed back to the hotel.
