I don’t know about you, but I love a good tablescape. I think it goes back to all those episodes of Sandra Lee’s Semi-homemade Cooking show I watched back in the day. Sandra was the queen of tablescapes!
Of course, the holidays are the perfect time to break out your good dishes, wash those cloth place-mats and napkins, and polish up the silver. For me, it’s not really about trying to impress my guests. (Most people I have over know that we’re usually eating off of paper plates and using paper towels as napkins.) It’s more about making the holidays special. Going a little above and beyond to make sure that there’s just something extra. A little razzle-dazzle. A little magic!
So if you’re looking for inspiration for your Thanksgiving tablescape, look no further! Here are 5 things you need for your Thanksgiving table.
1. Thanksgiving Spreader Set
Aren’t these great?! They’re perfect for a turkey-shaped cheese ball appetizer. Or to spread heavenly softened butter on the still-warm-from-the-oven dinner rolls. #yum
2. Autumn Wheat Table Runner
I love that this table runner is simple, but still festive. It’s a perfect backdrop for other fun Thanksgiving decorations.
3. Magnetic Thanksgiving Wine Glass Charms
These might be some of the cutest wine glass charms I’ve ever seen! And I love that they’re magnetic, so they can be placed higher on the glass. There are other sets for other occasions too. (The Halloween ones are super adorable!)
4. Cotton Oversized Dinner Napkins
If you prefer paper plates and napkins, by all means, go for it! Especially if you’re hosting a large crowd for Thanksgiving. (No host needs to be doing tons of laundry and dishes after eating all that food!) But if you do prefer cloth napkins for special occasions, I think these saffron colored napkins are perfect for Thanksgiving.
5. Pumpkin Napkin Rings
These metal pumpkin napkin rings are beautiful and would go perfectly with the napkins above.
And if you’re looking for the sweet little salt and pepper shakers from my photo above, I found mine at my local Publix supermarket a few years ago. If you can’t find them, these are adorable as well!
Do you like to decorate your table for Thanksgiving dinner?
