5 Favorite Moments from Our Disney Trip

Our trip to Disney last week was, as always, absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, there was Disney magic around every corner. And even though the kids were considerably more difficult this time, it was still a great trip.

There were a few extra special moments that will be memories I will cherish forever! Here are my 5 favorite moments from our Disney trip:

1. Surprising the Kids

We kept the trip a secret for months and months. Last time we went, Graham knew ahead of time and asked a million times a day when we were going. So this time, we decided to just not tell them. Plus it was so FUN seeing their reactions when we told them! (Check out the video below!) Graham can barely contain his excitement and Maddie is almost in tears she’s so excited! And how funny is it that she was so worried about it still being “night-night” time? Lol! It was 5:30am when we woke them up to tell them, so she was still pretty sleepy. We wanted to get an early start on the road trip!

2. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

I’ve been dying to do BBB with Maddie pretty much since I was pregnant and found out I was having a girl. Kids have to be 3-years-old to do it, so this was our year! Originally I just booked Maddie an appointment, but started to worry that Graham would feel left out, so I booked him the knight package. I’m so glad I added him on – he seemed to enjoy it more than Maddie did! I think she was just nervous and shy the entire time. Graham was all about it though! For his appointment, he got hair gel and “dragon scales” in his hair. He also got a light dusting of pixie dust and a super cool shield and sword. Maddie got her hair, make-up, and nails done, with lots of pixie dust! She got to keep the make-up and has been reapplying it non-stop since she got it. The appointment was so fun and definitely made my dreams come true!

3. The Characters

The kids were ALL about the characters this time. Maddie especially loved them and wanted to hug them all! She practically jumped into Doc McStuffin’s arms! So sweet.

4. Be Our Guest Dinner

We’ve eaten at BOG for breakfast before, but I’ve always wanted to have dinner there too! You only get to meet the Beast at dinner, plus the food sounded yummy. Unfortunately, a dinner reservation is super hard to get at BOG. But I managed to snag a last minute reservation and was so pumped to finally mark this off my Disney Bucket List. I also planned to “Disney bound” as Belle that day, so I could look the part next to the Beast!

I also got to meet Gaston while I was Disney-bounding as Belle! I tried to explain to him that I was dressed like Belle, but he mostly just wanted to talk about himself. Lol!

5. Graham Dancing with Belle

This was my number one favorite moment of the trip. Our top “Disney magic moment!” We did tales with Belle last time we were at Disney, so right before we walked in, I reminded Graham that if he roared really loudly when the host asked everyone to roar, he might get picked to play the Beast in the skit. He roared SO loud and was picked! And he was ALL into it. He did everything he was supposed to and it was pretty much the most adorable thing ever. I was so proud and may have teared up a little when he was dancing with Belle. He bowed to her at the end too – so sweet!
