A few weekends ago we stayed at my friend’s cozy cabin – Walnut Mountain Cabin in Ellijay Georgia. North Georgia is so picturesque this time of year with the colorful changing leaves, and a quick getaway was just what we needed! I love staying in the mountains, especially in the fall. It’s so peaceful! It’s so nice to get away and relax before all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
Walnut Mountain Cabin in Ellijay Georgia
Walnut Mountain Cabin in Ellijay Georgia is three bedrooms and 2.5 baths (which was perfect for our group) and is equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Just look at those colorful leaves!
The cabin has a bright, open floor plan on the main level.
The kitchen is beautiful! I love the countertops and the island.
The table is huge and perfect for family meals.
Lots of comfy beds to choose from!
No cabin is complete without a hot tub!
There’s a fire pit outside and a cute wooden swing.
My friend is an amazing chef and cooked us a delicious dinner!
Our kids had the best time playing together, which gave the grown-ups plenty of time to chat and catch up.
Play all day!
We made some delicious smores before putting the kids down for the night. Then we stayed up late drinking wine and playing card games!
So yummy!
The next morning, we had a filling breakfast of biscuits and gravy and lounged around while the kids played video games on the Nintendo Switch.
Coffee tastes better in the mountains!
Later, we headed down to the lake and waterfall to explore.
