We had such a busy Easter Sunday.
Lots of driving, church, food to organize, an egg hunt to prep, a couple of Easter baskets to fill, all on less than 5 hours of sleep. (Where’s that Easter bunny when I need him? I could’ve used a little help!)
Add all of that, on top of all our normal activities and chores, and needless to say – I was one stressed out mama.
So although adorable, these pictures won’t tell the true story of our Easter Sunday.
I lost my temper. I yelled. I rushed everyone.
On a day with a meaning rooted in forgiveness and sacrifice, I sure messed up.
But that’s what’s so beautiful about Easter. About what happened that day, so long ago.
We can mess up. We can make millions of mistakes.
But we’re forgiven.
All because of Jesus.
“Jesus paid it all
All to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain, he washed it white as snow.” – Kristian Stanfill
Holidays are now so commercial. You’ve made me think, if they were only for remembering the birth and death of Jesus, there would be no stress.
LOVE how honest you are. We have all been there and it’s a nice reminder that we are normal mamas with good days and bad. Love the ending light of Jesus. 💗
