Disney Cruise Day 2 at Castaway Cay
We woke up to a gorgeous view out of our verandah on the second day of our cruise. Disney Cruiseline has its own private island called Castaway Cay – it’s one of my favorite parts of the Bahamas cruise itinerary! I was so pumped about spending the day at the beach that I actually woke up before everyone else. So I decided to go up to deck 11 to grab some coffee and take some pictures of the ship while it was still quiet and calm.
That view!
Do you see Donald?
When I got back to the room, everyone was awake. We grabbed some breakfast at Cabanas (the buffet) and then headed out to the beach!
There were still a few Christmas decorations out around the beach. I’d love to take a Merrytime Christmas cruise one day!
My brave girl! She rode the AquaDuck waterslide on the ship 4 times AND rode the Pelican Plunge water slide at Castaway Cay! Don’t forget to check out the video at the end of the post to see us riding the slide.
The BBQ lunch on the beach is one of my favorite meals of the cruise. The ribs are delish!
I finally got this picture! I’ve been dying to have this picture (with ME in it) since I started researching cruises two years ago. I was too sick last time to walk to the photo opp (it’s really not far but I was super sick) but I finally got the picture this time!
After lunch, we checked the kids into the kids club on the island called Scuttleās Cove, and Josh and I headed over to the adults-only beach.
We headed back to the boat around 4pm to grab showers and get ready for the evening. The kids choose to go to the kids club to have dinner, so Josh, my dad, and I had a nice relaxing kid-free meal! After that, we picked them up and headed to see the Beauty and the Beast show – one of my favorites!
