Graham is 7 months!

By on April 27, 2013
Graham,
You’re almost 8 months old. That just seems soooo old to me. You’re not my little newborn anymore!
This month your personality is really coming out – you are staring to love on us and talk a lot!
You can say “Dada”, “Mama” (yay!) and “Nana.” I think you’ve said “Hey” too. Not that you know what any of that means, but it sure is cute when you talk! And you’ve started waving. You’ll wave, then clap, wave, then clap. I love it!
Saying “Mama” —
(And growling a little bit there at the end. He learned that from Jack.) 🙂
Saying “Dada” —
It’s the cutest thing EVER when you give us kisses. You’ll reach out your arms towards my face and open your mouth. So sweet! You also headbutt us – we think that’s another way of you giving kisses.
You are way more aware of your surroundings. If you see something that you want – you fuss until you get it. I haven’t let you hold my phone yet because I know if I let you have it once, it’ll be yours from here on out!
Lots of firsts this month too!
First time on the top of Stone Mountain. (We rode the Skyride up – we didn’t brave the hike with you.)
First ride in your big boy stroller.
First time feeding yourself a bottle. Man, it’s going to be awesome
when we don’t have to feed you anymore. But I’m sure I’ll miss the snuggles…
You’re really interested in Lacey and Jack now. You love petting them!
Trying peas. You are NOT a fan.
You are sitting up like a rock star. And you can play by yourself for a pretty long time.
Still no signs of crawling, but I am just fine with that.
First trip to Dollywood. We spent a long weekend in Pigeon Forge.
You were awesome the entire trip. It was a blast!
Best. Photo. Ever!
My little hillbilly baby.

Happy 7 months baby Graham!
Now quit growing up so fast!

Graham is 6 Months!

By on April 15, 2013
Baby Graham – I’m doing your 6th month post even though you’re 1/2 way through your 7 month. I just can’t seem to find time to blog!
At the end of your 6th month, something clicked and you started doing something new almost every day!!
Rockin’ the Toms.
You’ve started sitting up on your own.
Chunky thighs – I love ’em!
You learned how to clap. Most – adorable – thing – ever!!!
We went on our first trip as a family of 3 – just a quick weekend trip to Callaway Gardens.
You got your first cold – poor baby. Talk about some snot…gross. You had your first big old snot bubble – ew!
Sick baby and sick mommy.
You also went fishin’ for the first time with your Peepa. Too cute!
Your doctor wanted us to start giving you a sippy cup. You mostly just chew on it for now. Must feel good on those teeth!
The Easter bunny brought you a sippy cup, bananas (your fav) and some natural sunscreen.
You really started babbling and talking. You’re usually a pretty quiet guy, but you have your talkative moments!
I’m still making all of your food. I love it! This month you tried carrots, asparagus and peas. You’re such a good eater.
You’ve been really interested in toys this month too. Lots of play time!
Not sure you have enough toys. 🙂
And there’s been lots and lots of drooling from cutting teeth.
I’m sure you were saying “Gee!” (You said that all the time during your 6th month.)
Baby Graham, you’re turning into an adorable little boy. We love you so much!

Teeth!!

By on March 26, 2013
On Sunday at church I noticed a sweet little tooth popping out! It’s the bottom front right tooth. The one next to it looks like it’s almost out too. I tried to take a picture of the tooth, but Graham didn’t cooperate. Boo!
Adorable baby!
I can’t believe how FAST Graham is growing up. The days seem long, but time is flying by.
First time in a restaurant high chair!
We’ve yet to take Graham’s 6 month pictures…oops! We have one week until he turns 7 months. Better get on that!
At the Peachtree Dekalb airport for a birthday party for one of Graham’s buddies from church.
I’m so ready for summer. Graham has a ton of adorable summer clothes.
Play ball!
The weather here has been crazy. It’ll be warm and beautiful one week and the next week we’ll have snow flurries.
Trying on some sunglasses at Babies-R-Us. One cool dude! If you look close, you can see my reflection in the lens. 🙂
Our pediatrician wants us to start giving Graham a sippy cup. Not sure he’s ready for that at all, but we’ll give it a try.
Sweet sleepy boy. Look at those chunky cheeks!
My baby’s growing up! Gotta do his 6th month post soon. Love this guy!

Graham is 5 months!

By on February 22, 2013
Mr. Graham – you’re 5 months old! Wow – I can’t believe you’ve been here almost half a year. That’s just crazy – you were just in my belly!
You really love to play these days. I bought you an exosaucer from a consignment sale and you love it! Especially the little green frog – I think you two are best friends.
Now that you’re moving around so much, Lacey and Jack have been super interested in you. There’s been lots of sniffing going on and they’re always trying to sneak a lick when I’m not paying attention.
Must be something in that diaper!
We’ve started feeding you some pureed food. First up was rice cereal – per your doctor’s request. You tolerated that. Then we tried some sweet potatoes which you seem to enjoy. Avocados were next and you were not a fan. Then we tried bananas – you loved them! (We waited the recommended 4 days in between each food to make sure you’re not allergic. So far so good!)

You’re super smiley and super giggly. It’s so much fun making you cackle! We have too many adorable videos on our phones of you laughing. Your daddy and I sound ridiculous on the videos, but we’ll do anything to make you laugh!

We tried the johnny jumper this month too, but I’m not sure you get the hang of it yet. 🙂

You’re still in 3-6 months clothes and wearing size 2 diapers, but I think we’re ready for size 3. This time I’m going to stock up early-on so I don’t have to swing by Target to pick up diapers every week.

You still eat 4-5 bottles a day of 6oz of formula. Sadly this month you decided you were too impatient to breastfeed before your bottles. After 2 weeks of fighting with you to keep you on the breast and trying every tip I could find about nursing strikes, I decided that I needed to come to terms with the fact that you are done nursing. The only way you’ll nurse now is if we lay in the bed and do some skin-to-skin until you’re sleepy. Unfortunately, I can’t lay in bed with you all day! So I’ve become a full-time pumping mom. I’m going to pump until you’re at least 6 months, possibly longer. But my heart misses the sweet snuggling times we had when you were breastfeeding.

Baby Graham – you’re just so awesome. I love being your mama!
