Teeth!!

By on March 26, 2013
On Sunday at church I noticed a sweet little tooth popping out! It’s the bottom front right tooth. The one next to it looks like it’s almost out too. I tried to take a picture of the tooth, but Graham didn’t cooperate. Boo!
Adorable baby!
I can’t believe how FAST Graham is growing up. The days seem long, but time is flying by.
First time in a restaurant high chair!
We’ve yet to take Graham’s 6 month pictures…oops! We have one week until he turns 7 months. Better get on that!
At the Peachtree Dekalb airport for a birthday party for one of Graham’s buddies from church.
I’m so ready for summer. Graham has a ton of adorable summer clothes.
Play ball!
The weather here has been crazy. It’ll be warm and beautiful one week and the next week we’ll have snow flurries.
Trying on some sunglasses at Babies-R-Us. One cool dude! If you look close, you can see my reflection in the lens. 🙂
Our pediatrician wants us to start giving Graham a sippy cup. Not sure he’s ready for that at all, but we’ll give it a try.
Sweet sleepy boy. Look at those chunky cheeks!
My baby’s growing up! Gotta do his 6th month post soon. Love this guy!

Graham is 5 months!

By on February 22, 2013
Mr. Graham – you’re 5 months old! Wow – I can’t believe you’ve been here almost half a year. That’s just crazy – you were just in my belly!
You really love to play these days. I bought you an exosaucer from a consignment sale and you love it! Especially the little green frog – I think you two are best friends.
Now that you’re moving around so much, Lacey and Jack have been super interested in you. There’s been lots of sniffing going on and they’re always trying to sneak a lick when I’m not paying attention.
Must be something in that diaper!
We’ve started feeding you some pureed food. First up was rice cereal – per your doctor’s request. You tolerated that. Then we tried some sweet potatoes which you seem to enjoy. Avocados were next and you were not a fan. Then we tried bananas – you loved them! (We waited the recommended 4 days in between each food to make sure you’re not allergic. So far so good!)

You’re super smiley and super giggly. It’s so much fun making you cackle! We have too many adorable videos on our phones of you laughing. Your daddy and I sound ridiculous on the videos, but we’ll do anything to make you laugh!

We tried the johnny jumper this month too, but I’m not sure you get the hang of it yet. 🙂

You’re still in 3-6 months clothes and wearing size 2 diapers, but I think we’re ready for size 3. This time I’m going to stock up early-on so I don’t have to swing by Target to pick up diapers every week.

You still eat 4-5 bottles a day of 6oz of formula. Sadly this month you decided you were too impatient to breastfeed before your bottles. After 2 weeks of fighting with you to keep you on the breast and trying every tip I could find about nursing strikes, I decided that I needed to come to terms with the fact that you are done nursing. The only way you’ll nurse now is if we lay in the bed and do some skin-to-skin until you’re sleepy. Unfortunately, I can’t lay in bed with you all day! So I’ve become a full-time pumping mom. I’m going to pump until you’re at least 6 months, possibly longer. But my heart misses the sweet snuggling times we had when you were breastfeeding.

Baby Graham – you’re just so awesome. I love being your mama!

Graham’s First Christmas

By on February 7, 2013
Yeah yeah yeah – it’s February and I’m posting about Christmas.
But I just LOVE all the pics we took during the Christmas season!
Our Christmas card!
And on the back of the Christmas card – Graham’s birth announcement!
Great way to save some $ on stamps, right?
I took Graham to Bass Pro Shop to meet Santa. You get a free 5×7 pic with Santa at Bass Pro. But since I’m a first time mommy, I ended up buying a photo package anyway. It saved me the extra step of ordering the Grandparents a copy. And this may be the only pic of Graham and Santa for the next few years where he’s not crying.

Riding the carousel with mommy!

Two reindeer!

Sad Santa! This pic cracks me up!

My baby’s gotta huge head.
Picking out a tree!

Sweet smile.

Awesome bib made by an awesome friend!

Fistpump, Christmas, Presents!

Where’d Graham go?

I love my present from Santa!

Wrapping paper is fun.

New stockings!
Whew! Christmas is exhausting!

What a wonderful Christmas!

Graham is 4 Months!

By on January 30, 2013

Oh baby Graham – you’re growing up so fast! I can’t believe it’s been 4 months. (Really almost 5 now!) I feel like you just got here, but I can’t imagine my life without you.

You’re smiling and giggling all the time. Which is so much fun since you slept so much the first few months of your life. Everyone at church always joked that you were the perfect baby. You slept all the time and never cried.

You’re still an awesome sleeper at night – last night you slept for 13 hours!! You usually do 11 hours. You go to bed at 9 and wake up around 8. However, you are NOT a good napper anymore. I’m lucky if you sleep for 2 hours total during the day. But I’ll take a full nights sleep over naps. 🙂

You’re still pretty skinny to me, but you’re starting to get some cute chubby thighs. Here are your stats from your 4 month doctors appointment on Jan 9th:

Weight: 14lbs 13.5oz (33%)
Length: 25in (72%)
Head Circumference: 17in (88%)
Wow – you’ve got a big old head! 🙂

Your doctor was a little worried at your appointment about your head control. She thinks if you don’t start holding up your head better within the next month, you might need some physical therapy. But you’ve got such a big head! I think you’ll be just fine.

I can tell you love me SO MUCH! I’m so happy I decided to stay home with you. (And very blessed to be financially able to stay home.)

You’ve started to find your voice this month. Now you really can CRY!! No more perfect sleepy baby – when you get upset nowadays, you let us know. You still don’t scream, thank goodness. But I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before you learn how to do that. 🙂

You’re wearing size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes. It was so sad packing away your 0-3 month clothes. Maybe you’ll have a baby brother one day who will wear them!

You love your daddy! He’s so good at making you laugh. This past weekend mommy had lots of plans with her girlfriends so you and daddy got to spend a bunch of one-on-one time with each other. Daddy finally understands how hard it it is to keep you entertained these days!

My sweet Graham-a-lam! You’re so awesome. I love you so much!

Graham is One Month!

By on October 25, 2012

So this post is a little late. Oh well. 🙂

Make a wish!

Graham is doing great. At our last doctors appointment, he weighed 9lbs 1oz. I can’t believe he’s already gained that much weight!

This was taken right before Graham kicked the cake onto the floor. 🙂

He’s starting to sleep more at night. In fact, last night he went 5 hours between feedings!! During the day, he eats every 3 to 4 hours.

Superman pose!

He really is a great baby. He doesn’t cry unless he’s hungry or your changing his clothes or his diaper. We had an issue with one of the types of formula we were using that made his tummy hurt – he was pretty fussy then. But we switched back to what we were using before and now he’s much better.

I’m one month old!

I go to the office today to speak with my boss about coming back to work. This has been stressing me out like crazy. I’ve typed up a proposal to go back part-time, but I’m not sure I can leave this little guy at all! But staying home all day by myself isn’t my favorite thing to do…

Bath time!

Graham has been more alert and active lately. He’s starting to become interested in toys. And he’s been smiling so much!

Family Halloween pic!

Graham’s first trip to Stone Mountain!

Love this little guy!
