Bibbidi bobbidi boo! May all your dreams and wishes come true!
I was able to make one of my dreams come true on our last trip to Disney. I’ve been dying to take Maddie to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique basically since I found out I was pregnant with a girl. (Honestly, if adults could do it, I totally would! #disneydork)
If you’re looking for something special to do with your little princess while you’re at Disney, BBB is something you should consider! It’s a super interactive experience, complete with your very own private “Fairy Godmother in training,” who will turn your little girl into the princess of her dreams. They have packages starting at $64 that include a hair style, pixie dust, make-up, and nail polish. You also get a super cute BBB bag, a sash, AND you get to keep all the make-up and the nail polish! We brought our own princess dress from home to save money, but the higher priced packages include dresses, crowns, and shoes.
And the BBB doesn’t leave out the boys! I decided at the last minute to add on the Knight Package so Graham could feel included, and I’m so glad I did. He enjoyed it so much! The Knight Package is around $20, and includes a super cool shield and sword, “dragon scale” confetti, and hair styling with gel. Graham LOVED his dragon scales and was ALL about the attention he got when the Fairy Godmother knighted him with the sword. So cute!
There are two different Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations. One is located in Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom and the other is located at Disney Springs, a shopping area outside of the parks. We decided to go with the Disney Springs location, just so we wouldn’t be cutting into our park time at Magic Kingdom. But if you do decide to go with the location at Cinderella’s Castle, you could make a reservation for a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table (right next door) and have a special royal dinner with your little princess after she has her boutique appointment. How magical would that be?!
Another advantage to the Disney Springs location, is the Disney PhotoPass Studio that’s located near by. After your little one is transformed into a princess or knight, you can stop by and get a professional photographer to take some pictures with some awesome backgrounds. It’s free, and you’ll be able to download the pictures for free as well if you have Disney’s Memory Maker (explained here). Just look at these cool pics!
So while the princess packages can be pricey, I’d say that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is something you’ve got to do at least once with your little girl. And your boys may enjoy it too! Graham is 5 and really was the perfect age to enjoy it. I wish we had waited a year or two for Maddie (she’s 3) because she was a little apprehensive during the first part, but ended up enjoying the end result.
