What better way to celebrate our 12th anniversary than with a trip to the same place we honeymooned back in 2007! You guys know we’re huge Disney nerds and we love celebrating special events at the happiest place on Earth!
We decided to drive down to Orlando – mostly so that I wouldn’t catch any germs from the flight. And believe it or not – I managed to stay well during the entire trip. We left as soon as we dropped the kids off at school that morning and made the 7-hour drive down. It was a breeze without kids!
Road trip!
Anniversary Trip to Disney World
We checked in at the hotel and then headed straight over to Epcot to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival. It was our first time at this festival and we managed to eat and drink our way around half of World Showcase before we got too full.
I still regret not buying this Mickey! He’s so cute.
The next morning we slept in and then headed back over to Epcot for more FOOD.
Picked up our passholder magnets while we were there.
Then we headed over to the Magic Kingdom to hang out for a while and ride some rides before Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
A quick trip back to the hotel so I could change and then back to the party! (Love staying at Bay Lake Tower so we can walk back and forth to Magic Kingdom.)
The next morning we headed over to Hollywood Studios to check out Galaxy’s Edge and ride Smugglers Run!
I found Forky on our way out of the park!
After that, we headed over to the Animal Kingdom to ride my favorite ride – Flight of Passage!
That evening we had dinner at The Wave Louge in the Contemporary Resort. Then we watched the fireworks in our PJs from the breezeway at Bay Lake Tower. (Another reason we love staying there!!! Make sure to check out this blog post all about the hotel and find out how to save tons of money when you book through DVCrentals.com!)
The next morning it was back to Hollywood Studios to ride Slinky Dog Dash and grab one more cup of blue milk at Galaxy’s Edge.
Grabbed lunch at Andy’s Lunchbox – yum!
Rode the Skyliner for the first time from Hollywood Studios back to Epcot for one last meal. (We got stuck on the Skyliner too, but luckily only for a few minutes!)
Josh’s favorite thing to eat at Disney World is the filet mignon at the Le Cellier Steakhouse and we have to eat there every time we go!
The next morning we got up early and headed to the Magic Kingdom for one last time before driving home.
It was probably our last for a while because we didn’t renew our annual pass. So sad! But it was such a great trip and we had a blast!
