My two favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
Magic Kingdom has the castle and so many amazing rides. But Epcot has yummy food, the World Showcase, and Soarin’ – which is my all-time favorite ride. I really can’t decide which one I like better! What’s your favorite Disney park?
The first stop on our first Magic Kingdom day? Taking a ton of pictures in front of the castle, of course! I booked us an early dining reservation for breakfast just so we could take some pictures without a million people in the background.
On our Magic Kingdom day, I Disney Bounded as Cinderella. I just needed some glass slippers!
This was our first visit to the Magic Kingdom where Maddie was tall enough to ride almost all the rides. She was pumped for Thunder Mountain and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and she loved them both! She’s my little thrill seeker.
After taking pics, we headed over to the Crystal Palace for breakfast with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tiger!

I love Pooh!
After breakfast, we headed over to Fantasy Land to hop on some rides before it got too crowded.
Dumbo has the BEST queue line of any ride at any theme park! You get a buzzer (like at a restaurant) and then head into an air-conditioned play area so your kids can run around until it’s time to ride. Genius!
We rode so many rides this day! Between getting to the park early and booking fast passes strategically, we were able to ride a TON. And since we were staying at Bay Lake Tower, right next to Magic Kingdom, we were even able to go back to the hotel for a quick rest in the middle of the day. Then back to the park for the fireworks!
Maddie was DONE after the fireworks were over. Instead of waiting for the monorail, we decided to walk back to the hotel. (I’m spoiled now after staying at Bay Lake and I don’t want to stay anywhere else!)
Epcot Day 2
The next day we headed back to Epcot. On this trip, we did two days at Magic Kingdom, two days at Epcot, one day at Hollywood Studios, and one rest day. We skipped Animal Kingdom – it’s just not our favorite.
First up at Epcot – meeting Wreck-it-Ralph and Penelope!
After hanging out in Future World for a bit, we headed over to the China Pavillion for lunch. The kids loved watching this lion dance outside of the restaurant.
My kids were acting weirdly shy that morning and didn’t want to take a picture with Mulan. I was so sick by this time on our trip – a cold I had been fighting turned into a raging sinus infection. I wore my big coat that day because it was chilly and I wasn’t feeling great. Mulan told me she liked my armor. Lol!
Orange chicken!
Mongolian beef with noodles!
Maddie was mesmerized by this woman’s beautiful dress!
I didn’t take a lot of pictures that day since I wasn’t feeling well. But I did take a great one of the Epcot ball!
We picked up our annual passholder magnet before heading back to the hotel to rest for a while before checking the kids into the Pixar Playzone.
